We're still in the beginning stages, so there still might be some bugs to fix, but we knew you'd want to be the very first to help say hello (hola)!

DJ3K Update!

Hey guys!

Supersoradud here to give you the 411 on the new Club Penguin DJ3K Update!

OK, first off if you go to the Night Club, the first thing you'll notice is a box full of records. If you walk over to that, you can check out 3 sweet new tunes to play in DJ3K! Each song costs 75 coins, but they are members only. (Bummer.) Here's a snag I got.

Second off, after you buy some new tracks, you'll notice a new DJ3K start screen! Of course I got a pic of that too.

Pretty shweet, huh?

Oh yeah, to end the update, get this:

If you don't have a yellow puffle, you may want to buy one! If you buy a yellow puffle and take it into the game, it will dance with you and earn you some extra coinage! Check it!

Greetings Penguins!

With the groovy music updates coming to the DJ3K game and igloos this Friday, I thought it'd be kinda cool to talk to someone on the team who does a lot of the musical stuff around here...


Q: There's a lot of music in Club Penguin. How you do decide what music goes where?
A: We'd like the music to support the feeling of the areas and the party themes.

Q: What's your favorite part of making music and sound effects?
A: Working with music and sound effects (sfx) is creative and fun, and we hope it adds another dimension to everyone's experiences on the island.

Q: At last year's Music Jam party, I seem to remember music called  "bubble pop" - is that short for bubble gum pop? Are there other kinds of candy music?
A: With that song we were originally inspired by the Bubblegum Pop style of music. But with music this sweet, it's all candy.

We'd love to know what you think about the sfx all over the island!

Hello Penguins!

Stay tuned this week for some music updates! On Friday you'll find some new music in your igloo, and that's not all. Also coming on Friday is a DJ3K update in the Night Club. Members will be able to purchase exclusive music tracks from a special catalog - and then take them right into the game!



There's been some talk of yellow puffles being quite enthusiastic about the update to the DJ3K game... We'll have to see what that's all about on Friday.

Club Penguin Announces New Type Of Toys!

Club Penguin just announced a new type of toy, check it out!

Hello Penguins!

We're excited to tell you about some new toys that'll be coming soon. The Snow Trekker & Space Ship are different from the other Club Penguin toys that have come out, so we'd really love to hear what you think!
The Snow Trekker has some cool history in Club Penguin. In the very, very first Penguin Style catalog, it was on the back page listed as "out of stock" and ever since then a lot of you have commented about it. You may have seen it at a few parties - and even in the Elite Penguin Force DS game! Have any of you seen it anywhere else on the island? And what about this Space Ship... Does anyone know the play this is from?

These new 'pull and let go' toys will be available very soon. Also coming to North America (and then later to the UK and Australia) are Series 2 Pet Puffles. Just like your pet puffles in Club Penguin, they'll show off their unique personalities:

Club Penguin Adventure Party Safari Cheats!

Hey guys!

Well, the Adventure Party is in full swing! 

And it's a pretty good one for CP!

Here are the cheats for the Safari.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1. Go to the underground pool and click the silver fish once he floats by.

2. Go to the Cove and click on the vine. The flowers will pop open, and you can click it again.

3. Go to the Docks and click on the turtle shell lying by the rock next to the Hydro Hopper boat. Then click the turtle once he pops up.

4. Go to the Snow Forts and click the flower buds in the bush next to the Clock Tower.

Then click one of the flowers.

5. Go to the Ice Burg, and click the little spout of water squirting up on the top left corner of the screen. Then click the whale.

6. Go to the Plaza and click the purplish vines right next to the Pizza sign. 

7.  Go to the Beach and click the bubbles next to the green vines on the bottom right corner. Then click the Jellyfish.

Final: Go to the forest and click on the big floral flower! (LOL.)

And that's it! 

Can you guess what the prize is?

Yup, it's a background!

Oh well, backgrounds are cool too.

There is also TWO new free items!

Here's the steps to getting the non member item!

1. From the Town, go to the Snow Forts.

2. Take the right exit from the Snow Forts and go to the Plaza.

3. Look down at the barrels. Click the one full of green hats.

1. Go to the Forest.

2. Click the ladder next to the sign that says "Explore the Tree Fort".

3. Click on the box full of the Tropical Birds, as shown below.

Tech Talk - Becoming DRM Free - Free!

First off, you need:

1. iTunes

2. Purchased Music (That is NOT iTunes Plus)

3. A clean CD/CD-RW.

Ok guys!

So we all know you have downloaded a song off of iTunes saying, "Hey! That would go great in my home movie!"

And then you downloaded it and paid $1 or more, only to find out that it doesn't show up in iMovie or Windows Movie Maker.

Well, I'm going to show you how to fix this problem, in a very simple and FREE way. (You still have to pay for the song and clean CD, I guess though.)

First off, go to iTunes.

Then, take that song and drag it onto the CD that has been loaded in the sidebar.

Find the other songs you want to do this with, and put them in the CD as well.

Now, burn that CD.

Once finished, re-insert that CD.

Then, simply import all of the songs you burned.

And there you have it - DRM free music that you can use in any of your home videos!

IMPORTANT NOTE: These songs still retain their Royalties as they are NOT iTunes Plus songs. If you use them freely in any video other than video for private use only for friends and families, you will be subject to a fine from the Recording Studio that sold the song, as well as the song artist.

New Toys Coming

Hello Penguins!

What's better than a Rockhopper, Aunt Arctic, or Squidzoid toy? How about all of them (and others!) available mid-June when the Series 3 Club Penguin toys come out?


You asked for Rockhopper (Limited Edition Penguin) to come back - and he'll be back!! You'll also see some brand new toys. I've heard that some of you have seen a few of the new ones in stores early! That's awesome - and we wanted to let you know that The Treasure Book update will happen on June 15, so you'll be able to enter your Unlock Items Online code then.

In North America, starting soon, you'll see the new Series 3 toys at Toys'R'Us Stores, Disney Parks, and Disney Stores (including the Disney Online store). And for those of you in the UK and Australia, you'll see the them later this summer, so keep your eyes open! As always, we'd love to hear what you think.

1. From the Town, go into the Coffee Shop.

2. Click on the Dragon's Shadow.

2. Click on the left Coffee Mug that is lying on the table..

2. Click the spot where the two light beams join.

Tech Talk - Making Renders with LiveQuartz!

Ok, to start off, you need:

1. A Mac (Leopard is best)

2. LiveQuartz (download here)

Hey guys! 

Have you ever seen one of those snazzy logos with a Club Penguin object that didn't have a white background, yet when you tried to do something like that you couldn't find out how to get that BG to go away?

Well, today I'm going to help you make a render - for free!

Here are the steps!

1. Grab the image you want to make a render of and drag it onto the LiveQuartz logo on your Dock.

2. Select the Erasing tool and erase the outer stuff, leaving only the object you are rendering. (Confused? Look at this:)

3. Continue to erase around the object, then add a layer (click the plus button next to the minus button) and drag it underneath the main layer. Then, paint with a semi-bright color - don't make it black - and use this technique to make sure there is NO outer stuff around the object, kinda like this:

3. Now that you've done that, click and hold the button with the little wavy line, and select the line tool from the drop down list.

4. Adjust the size of the line, and "trace" the object you are rendering slowly. If you want, you can zoom in to make it a little more detailed. You can also draw the lines out to the side or on the object to see which line size is right for you! Refer to this for help:

(Oh yeah, change the color to black for the line. It works on every object except for real people pictures/real objects.)

5. Now crop the object, and save it with the name you want.

6. Enjoy your new render!

If you want, take as much time as you need on step 4. That way it won't turn out as choppy. Also, be sure to zoom out to 100% if you zoomed in when "tracing".
